2013 - 2018

FOUNDING TEAM

ÜLKÜ ÇAĞLAYAN CIRCUIT was born from an eagerness to creatively embody sustainable living and was founded by Ülkü in December 2013. The idea first appeared in June 2013 when she encountered permaculture design on an off-the-grid farm in South Africa to which she was introduced to while facilitating and practising breathwork in the woods. Her experience with breathwork and permaculture led her to a dramatic change of purpose. This change, combined with her focus for alternative and performative languages, came together in the founding of CIRCUIT Istanbul. Ülkü holds PGDip an Design Management at the University of Arts London. Since 2016 she has been self-studying in the fields of conceptual art, psychology, philosophy, and movement. In December 2017, Ülkü withdrew from her management role at CIRCUIT. From November 2018 she returned to her management role as well as directing the programs in a new direction; art and movement.

JUDITH JUNG Judith is the principle graphic designer for CIRCUIT. Originally from Hamburg, Germany, Judith decided to settle down in Bristol, UK, the minute she first set foot there. This proved to be a wise decision, as she went on to score her dream job at creative agency Taxi Studio directly after graduating from her foundation degree in graphic design. When she’s not providing graphics and visuals to CIRCUIT, Judith likes to do a bit of screen printing, singing and writing – life’s too short to say no to creative endeavours!
