This drawing based workshop is a call on everyone from different backgrounds and ages who would like to initiate a space for their unique processes of artistic expression and thinking. We are led by various technics of drawing while acquainted with the obstacles on our sight to engage with the language of our bodies and movement of thought.
My education took place in three cities with distinctive characteristics. Florence, where I studied on classical sculpture, is the city that introduced me to the classics, construction, and preservation. In Chicago, I invested my time on spatial drawing and moving image during my studies in SAIC. And Istanbul -it is the place where I learned my mother tongue and my subconscious has formed.
These three qualities are gathered together in the manner of sculpture, drawing, film, writing, dancing, installing -in general, what we call visual or spatial arts. Now I am also trying to conduct workshops in search of the quest of:
How someone with a specific past and baggage eventually relate to their own sight and way of thinking, and would be able to show/express while they keep on discovering? Honestly, I am someone on this path.
